🔥 About the Deity

Maa Chandi is the fierce and protective form of Goddess Durga, who destroys evil and restores dharma. She is the embodiment of shakti (divine power), bhakti (devotion), and raksha (protection). Ek Chandi Homam is one of the most potent rituals to connect with her energy and seek blessings for strength, clarity, and victory.

📖 Kahaniyan (Stories Behind the Pooja)

  • Devi Mahatmya Victory: The Durga Saptashati describes how Maa Chandi defeated demons like Mahishasura, Shumbha-Nishumbha, and Raktabeej. These stories symbolize the destruction of inner and outer negativity. Performing Chandi Havan invokes this divine force to overcome life’s battles.
  • Rishi Medha’s Guidance: In the Markandeya Purana, Rishi Medha narrates the glory of Devi to King Suratha and a merchant. After performing Chandi Puja, they regained their lost strength and clarity. This tale shows how devotion to Chandi restores purpose and power.
  • Navratri Tradition: During Navratri, Chandi Path and Havan are performed to honor the nine forms of Durga. It is believed that Chandi Havan during this time removes graha dosh, protects from black magic, and brings spiritual elevation.
