🌼 About the Deity

Lord Satyanarayana is a compassionate form of Vishnu, the protector and sustainer of the universe. He represents satyata (truth), dharma (righteousness), and daya (compassion). Worshipping him through this pooja brings divine support in fulfilling vows and maintaining harmony in life.

📖 Kahaniyan (Stories Behind the Pooja)

  • The Poor Brahmin of Kashi: A humble Brahmin, struggling to survive, was guided by Lord Vishnu in a dream to perform Satyanarayana Pooja with whatever little he had. He offered fruits and prayers with devotion. Soon, his life changed—he received help, respect, and peace. This story shows that bhakti matters more than wealth.
  • The Merchant Sadhu and His Forgotten Vow: A wealthy merchant vowed to perform the pooja after a successful voyage but forgot. Misfortune struck—his ship sank, and he was imprisoned. Only after remembering and fulfilling his vow did his troubles vanish. This tale teaches the importance of honoring promises made to the divine.
  • King Ulkamukh’s Redemption: King Ulkamukh faced unrest in his kingdom. A sage advised him to perform Satyanarayana Pooja. He gathered his people and conducted the ritual with devotion.
